    Dear Emma,
I had a wonderful evening on the roof top garden terrace with my roomates. We met a couple of Americans but we won't hold that against them... they seemed to be alright!  I slept in once again until 10:00am this morning, but I really needed my sleep cause today was very busy!

I had breakfast (croissant, banana and jus de pommes), and then headed out for my daily walk. I got to the bank today and actually got some Euros (thanks VISA..... NOT!!!!)
After that, I headed for Notre Dame. It was a long but very beautiful walk. TanTan would love this place for sure, cause of all the shops. I wanted to stop many times to purchase a few items, but I don't have any room in my suitcase, so I thought you, TanTan and I could come back one day and do the girly thing and go shoping in Paris!

After about an hour and forty-five minutes, I made it to the location of Notre Dame. As it came into view, it absolutley took my breath away - it is so magnificent and I felt so honoured to stand infront of this wonderful masterpiece. It was so emotional and yes... I know you're asking... I DID CRY!!  After I composed myself, I went inside and lit a candle and said prayers for all my family, friends (new & old) and for those who have passed on. I will be returning tomorrow night for mass at 6:30pm.\
I toured Notre Dame for about 2 hours and took lots of photos. It is very dark inside, so I hope the photos will be okay. I will upload tomorrow night. In my personal opinion, Notre Dame was more beautiful than the Louvre and such an inspirational place to be. Uplifting, mesmorizing and very surreal!

I then walked to the Eiffel Tower which was just as long a walk, however I walked along the Seine River. That was pretty cool and wonderful to be a part of. Got caught up in a police blockage though. Today was the passing of the Bioengineering of Plants which the French are totally against, so the police had to set up blockades so as to keep the locals from losing it. I was allowed in but wasn't allowed out!

So yes, I went to the very top of the Eiffel Tower - and yes, I walked it! Up and down! What a view! I will upload those photos tomorrow as well. I could see everywhere I have been and it is definitley long walks I have been taking. The city is very beautiful and the buildings are quite magnificient with their cast iron balconies and stone front or stucco faces. All the buildings are like this and the roads intertwine between the buildings. It is quite amazing to see. I hope you enjoy the photos!

So. I have to confess... I broke down and had to take the Metro home. I have really done quite the job to my feet and I am on the hunt for flip flops as I can't wear shoes anymore!  Sorry Tiff, I know that's so not Paris!!!  LOL
I made it safe and sound on the Metro and had to take 3 trains and did not get lost!! I also ate my Baguette au Jambon et fromage avec moi l'eau while on the train - pretty french yes?!?

Tonight we are off for a picnic of wine, baguettes and cheese under the Eiffel Tower while we take in the light show. Don't worry, will take lots of photos!

Hope everyone is doing well. Miss you all!  Stay tuned for the last couple of days of France.

    Au Revoir Emma
    Bisous Momy
